President and Chief Executive Officer
Derek was named President and Chief Executive Officer on January 1, 2022. Prior to this assignment, he served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) since 2008. Derek has been with PBV since its formation in 1999, where he served as Vice President of Strategic Planning. Prior to that, he worked with PepsiCo in Finance covering the Southeast region. Derek began his career in the public sector as a staff accountant after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of South Carolina.
Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Mark joined Pepsi Bottling Ventures in June 2017, bringing over 28 years of experience with PepsiCo, both in Sales Operations and Business Development roles. Prior to joining PBV, he served as Vice President of Sales and Strategy for Quaker Warehouse Sales. His previous roles with PepsiCo include Senior Director of 7-Eleven and Wal*Mart and Vice President/General Manager for the Oklahoma Market Unit and the Charlotte, North Carolina market. Mark received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Senior Vice President, Operations & Supply Chain
Sabri is responsible for manufacturing and logistics, supply chain procurement and planning, quality and food safety, engineering, fleet operations, and PBV’s sustainability program. He joined PBV in 2011 after serving 12 years in the industry. Before assuming the role of SVP of Operations and Supply Chain, Sabri was the Vice President of Engineering and also the technical committee leader of the Suntory Global Engineering Team. Sabri holds an MBA in international business from Lindenwood University and a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management from Missouri University of Science & Technology.
Marla Wiedmann
Vice President, Human Resources & Corporate Affairs
Marla brings over 28 years of Human Resources leadership experience in the food and beverage industry, with the last 9 years as the HR Director for PBV’s Western Division. She has responsibility for PBV’s Human Resources and Corporate Affairs departments, including Compensation and Benefits, Training and Development, Safety and Loss Prevention, and Communications and Government Affairs. Prior to PBV, Marla held multiple progressive leadership roles with Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation, including her final role as HR Director for Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and DSD Sales & Distribution. Marla earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Appalachian State University (ASU), where she remains an active member of the alumni population and avid supporter of ASU athletics. She has been certified as a Compensation Professional (CCP) and by the HR Certification Institute as a Senior Professional in Human Resource (SPHR).
Scott Bell
Chief Financial Officer
Scott joined PBV in March 2022 as Chief Financial Officer and leads the finance and technology departments, including accounting, financial and corporate planning, information technology, and our business transformation teams. Prior to joining PBV, Scott served as Vice President of Finance - Operations at Hostess Brands and spent over 13 years with PepsiCo in various finance leadership roles, including Vice President of Supply Chain Finance for PepsiCo Beverages North America (PBNA). A veteran of the Marine Corps, Scott earned his master’s in Finance from Johns Hopkins University and his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Towson University
